Employment Larch Computer Services has the current job vacancy: Customer Support Engineer / Field Engineer To provide on-site Installation, Maintenance & Support Services to our business clients in the UK, mainly in the South of England, especially; Hampshire, Berkshire, Surrey, around the Thames Valley & London. The following are considered essential for this position: Competence in, and experience of, the installation, support and troubleshooting of: Microsoft Windows Server Operating Systems, Microsoft Exchange Server & Microsoft ISA Server, especially as the Microsoft SBS product, although experience and competence in Novell Netware, Novell Groupwise & Novell Border Manager with a wish to migrate towards the Microsoft products would be considered, as we are still supporting a number of clients with Novell networks. Intel/AMD platform Servers, PC's and Notebooks in the network environment. Network Infrastructure products. (Hubs, Switches, Routers, Terminal Adapters, Modems etc) Mail Client and Internet Browser Software. e.g. Microsoft Outlook, Outlook Express & Internet Explorer. Anti-Virus software, preferably McAfee VirusScan, NetShield & GroupShield or Sophos Backup Software, preferably Symantec Backup Exec. Colour Laser Printers, Mono Laser Printers, Inkjet Printers, Impact Printers (Dot Matrix Printers), Scanners, Cameras and other accessories used in the business environment. Experience in the following would be a useful but not essential: Linux, Apple Mac, Equisys Zetafax, Symantec Winfax Pro, Sage Line 50, Sage ACT, Computer Associates ArcServe. A full UK driving licence and the ability to communicate in the English Language, in both written and verbal form, are essential.
